PositionIT Technician
REF: MTA/JOB/2025/42
Requirements:
- Completed GCE O’ Level Examination with minimum three passes including English, or experience that provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Diploma in IT field will be an added advantage.
- Previous experience in an IT technical support role (airline industry experience will be an advantage).
- Practical knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance.
- Willingness to travel and provide IT support at remote stations when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day IT support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Assist in maintaining and supporting ticketing, check-in, and airport operational systems.
- Repair, upgrade, and maintain computer hardware, network and related IT equipment.
- Support software installations, updates, and provide user training across departments.
- Monitor system performance and ensure data security through regular checks and backups.
- Respond to IT issues in remote stations and operational bases when required.
- Maintain records of IT assets and incident reports.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with problem-solving mindset.
- Knowledge of IT systems, networks, operating systems, and cybersecurity.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
